I’m Pregnant

“What am I going to do?”

If you are pregnant and weren’t planning to be, we can help. We will walk beside you on this journey. At a time like this it’s easy to feel alone, confused and overwhelmed. Feelings of fear, panic and anxiety are normal. There is so much to think about and so many things to figure out.

Perhaps you feel anger toward family members and friends who don’t understand or support you. These are all normal feelings, but overwhelming emotions can result in sleeplessness, pain and stress. It is important to realize that these feelings are all part of the process, and that there will come a time when you will feel better. At Catholic Charities we truly care about you and we will be with you through every step.

Your decisions will not only affect you as the baby’s mother, but also your family, friends, the baby’s father and ultimately the child. Though this may be a time of uncertainty and confusion, rushing into a decision without carefully understanding all your options can only cause more heartache. You owe it to yourself and your baby to consider all the facts in order to decide what is best for everyone involved. Catholic Charities has counselors who are able to support you during this difficult time and guide you in gaining more information about the various options available to you. The counseling sessions, which are provided at no cost and are confidential, enable you to discuss your individual situation with a qualified, caring counselor.

I’m considering making an adoption plan for my child.

Adoption is a life-giving, loving option for the future of your unborn baby.

Making an adoption plan can be one of the most extraordinary and heroic decisions you will ever make. Deciding to make an adoption plan for your child is a loving option, one that you select with the idea of what is best for you and your child now and in the future.

Adoption is not an easy way out of an unplanned pregnancy.  The beautiful gift of unselfish love for your child enables you to give the child those things that you cannot provide yourself at this time. Adoption is a gift of love.

If you would like to consider adoption, Catholic Charities will provide step-by-step guidance in developing an adoption plan for your child. You are able to make your adoption plan fit your needs and desires for your child. Your adoption counselor is able to travel to your home or another convenient location if you do not have transportation.

You have choices and we would like to help you make a good plan for you and your baby.

“Placing my child for adoption was the hardest thing I have ever done but it has turned into the most rewarding time of my life. I can honestly say, I am proud of myself.”
